A Writer’s Reference Photos: Crooked Graveyard

I don’t usually post photos on this blog, but these wobbly gravestones are very fitting for this spooky month and, more importantly, they fit the aesthetic of my dark fantasy novel. It’s funny how sometimes we can stumble on inspiration without meaning too. As an artist I know how valuable a good photo reference is, but I completely underestimated how useful they can be for writers! They can really help bring scene description to life! So, whether you’re a writer, an artist, or a lover of the old and decaying, here’s some pics.

Enjoy!

These photos are my own. They were taken at Saint Peters Church, Dyrham, United Kingdom.
